Rana, who was born to Udai Singh and Jaiwanta Bai, ruled Mewar from 1572 to 1597. Know for his participation in the battle of Haldighati and Dewair, Maharana Pratap's guerrilla warfare tactics and principles of self-sacrifice helped the Rajputs stand against the Mughals in the 16th century.
